Put the 9th and 10th of September in your diaries for the Logan Writers Festival! I'll be up there for the two days meeting readers and also doing some other complementary events around town. If you're local, and even if you're not, I hope to see you there.
It's going to be a busy couple of days around Brisbane. Flying in on the 7th there are events and signings coming up, plus the Logan Writers Festival on the 9th and 10th.

The Really Good Bookshop in the Brisbane suburb of Hillcrest is the kind of shop you can get lost in. Such an expansive and deep selection. Secondhand as well as new. I wasn't able to leave without making a purchase, that's for sure! Thanks Wendy for stocking Something Else. Supportive bookshops are essential to the lifeblood of new books and authors.

It's been a long time in coming, thanks to COVID, but I finally made it to Wigtown. It's a book town that boasts about 15 bookshops and many cafes doing great coffee and cake. It doesn't get much better than this for book lovers, I tell you! I was thrilled to meet Shaun Bythell, the proprietor of The Bookshop and the author of four books and counting.
